Bulgarian fashion house Kiko Kostadinov is back for another collaborative round alongside Japanese sportswear giants ASICS.
Continuing their on-going partnership, this time the two brands have developed an eclectic Gel-Quantum Zientzia silhouette that pays tribute to ASICS’ Institute of Sport Science (ISS).
Inspired by ethos of the ISS—mainly its commitment to “human-centric science”—the new sneaker, co-created by Kiko himself, highlights the iconic “ASICS Blue” colour palette, while offering a retro-futuristic design by leaning into contrasting fabrics and proportions.
Arriving in a “Dark Grey/Blue” colourway, the collaborative Gel-Quantum Zientzia seeks to enhance the experiences of the active lifestyle consumer through the use of a two-part scutoid GEL technology sole for increased shock absorption, and a reinforced heel for performance-level support.
To mark the release, the pair have released a campaign in ISS building in Kobe, Japan, which showcases the sneaker being worn by lifelong members of the team, including developers, designers and researchers.
