Kenzo has officially unveiled its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, offering an invitation into NIGO’s personal world.

Featuring garments inspired by many different cultures, eras and styles, the lookbook serves as a cultural dialogue that takes root in the streets of Kyoto and Osaka. Highlighting the current youth of the two Japanese cities, the imagery brings forth their personal expressions, both within Japan and beyond.

The vibrancy found in the streets of Osaka, along with its youthful underground scene, intersects with the rich historical fabric of Kyoto, where traces of tradition coexist with a concealed, youth-focused music culture. The visuals, expertly crafted by Japanese photographer Keizo Kitajima, encapsulates the cosmopolitan essence that characterises Nigo’s vision for the French label, all within the context of his homeland of Japan.

Within a collection of street portraits, Kitajima directs attention to everyday interactions between local residents and their environment. The campaign features VERNON, a member of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN and a Kenzo brand ambassador, alongside a cameo appearance by NIGO himself, dressed in a blue, striped shirt.
