Following its presentation at London Fashion Week, JW Anderson has unveiled its latest menswear campaign featuring rising indie-rock musician Bakar.
Having released his sophomore album earlier this year, the London-born artist has been steadily establishing himself as a notable presence in the fashion industry. Back in 2018, the singer-songwriter graced the runway during Virgil Abloh’s debut show for Louis Vuitton, and starred in Prada’s A Gift to Give campaign alongside models Pixie Geldof and Sara Blomqvist.
Lensed by David Sims, Bakar is showcased in a series of seasonal ensambles while striking contemplative poses on marble tables. Wrapped in plush pink and green knitwear, he reclines on foam boards holding a pillow while wearing snug-fitting bottoms. He concludes the selects by confidently sporting a ruffled leather skirt, leaving his upper torso exposed.
