Fresh off the back of its Paraboot collaboration, Leeds-based retailer HIP returns to unveil a new capsule alongside Japanese label Beams Plus.
For the collaboration, the duo have teamed up to create a five-piece offering focused around rugby uniforms worn both on and off the field throughout the North of England in the early 1800s. Home of the Newcastle Falcons and Sale Sharks, the region is famed for its rugby legacy, having produced some of the best teams in the world, even to this day.
Combining the heritage, stories and club rituals from across the area with Beams Plus’ timeless designs and preppy-inspired aesthetic, the pair have delivered a concise range that celebrates the historical culture surrounding the sport.
The capsule itself includes a Harris Tweed patchwork blazer, corduroy pleat trousers, a striped band rugby shirt, heavy sweatpants and a pair of schoolboy socks.
