After first coming together in 2019 for a soft buck leather rendition of the 1460 Jungle Boot, Dr. Martens has reconnected with Canadian veterans Haven for its latest release.
Founded by brothers Daniel and Arthur Chmielewski, Haven has been dressing its hometown of Edmonton and the surrounding areas since its inception in 2016. Boasting collections dripped in functional design, premium quality, and exceptional comfort, the stalwart is perhaps best known for its range of streetwear-focused labels, such as Cav Empt, Kapital, and more.
Crafted in Dr. Martens’ Wollaston factory, the 1461 is built from a mix of leathers from one of the most prestigious British tanneries, C. F. Stead. Building upon Haven’s seasonal mixed-material aesthetic, the shoe combines a classic calf leather upper with Culatta full-grain leather across the guard and backstrap. The design is then rounded out with a BEN outsole, hexagonal eyelets, and a C.F. Stead-branded tag.
