With views of the Caucasian Mountains, this unusual building in Mestia, Georgia is the coolest police station in the world. Designed by German firm J. Mayer H. Architects, the five story structure has an undulating facade with blob shaped windows. The nearby house of justice, also by the same architectural firm, is built of asymmetric hexagons. Mestia, clearly, is not afraid of shape. Or, wisely, paying homage to the surrounding landscape, which informs the rough texture of the concrete employed in the two buildings. [Dezeen]
