Tomorrow is the big day: don some green clothes, drop some food coloring into your beer, and go nuts. But here at Complex, we want to help you take it to the next level. The shade of green you rock says so much about you, so we’ve created this guide to the holiday colorways.
Hand scrawled on a Guinness napkin from The Wire's very own Kavanagh's Irish Pub is Complex’s 2011 St. Pats color trend forecast for this March 17th. Ladies can also use this PMS guide as inspiration before going to get their clover themed nails did. Go nuts.

Pantone 356C (Boston Celtics Emerald Green)
This is pretty much your standard emerald green, only angrier and far more annoying both on the court and in the parade. Like Kevin Garnett, Pantone 356C yells misspoken slogans, so if you’re going to choose this colorway for your Irish-themed Thursday kit, be warned that it leads to aggressive and sweaty behavior. Friends only let friends use this color chip in moderation. Go Knicks.
Pantone 369C (Slimer from Ghostbusters Sap Green)
If you plan on being blacked out by noon, this is a great shade of green for going off this March 17th. You’ll likely have the same enunciation as Slimer, and donning 369C is a great (and legal) excuse for giving that special coworker ladyfriend a big wet smooch on the lips. As you can see from the pic above, it works best with indy-emo-style gingers.
Pantone 577C (Toyota Prius Silver Pine Mica Green)
Measure this year's Saint Patrick's day ecological footprint with Pantone 577C. Your Fair Trade yoga tee is probably this shade already, so feel free to push the globally conscious reveling to the max. Mix your wheat grass extract into your Portland-based microbrew to reasonably match this color chip and the hippie chicks will be all over you.
Pantone 7481-7484C (Jennifer Lopez 2000 Versace Floral Green)
This colorway is definitely retro, but it holds nicely to this day with that combo of sexy high fashion with an “I’m still from the block” twist. Putting a nice mix of greens into your St. Patrick’s day ensemble will be great for that 5 minute paid photo op "partaking" in the Irish festivities. Then, quickly out the back door and into the backseat of a Maybach for JFK to Saint Barts. Another Saint Pats on O'Diddy's yacht. Yawn.
Pantone 331C (Statue of Liberty Sea Green)
Definitely the most hyped shade for this Saint Patrick's Day this year (SBs anyone?). Free your inner spirit from its self-conscious shackles with Pantone 331C. Now raise a Stella laced with triarylmethane food dye high and join the ruckus!
