Dov Charney, founder of American Apparel, has reportedly joined Kanye West's Yeezy as its new CEO.

In an effort to revitalize the brand that took a significant hit when West lost several partnerships thanks to anti-Semitic outbursts, the rapper turned to Charney who previously ran American Apparel and Los Angeles Apparel to take the reigns of his company, according to The U.S. Sun.

Despite Charney's business experience, he's not without his own controversies. In 2014, American Apparel dismissed him after accusing him of harassment, discrimination and assault.

Back in May, West began construction on what would become the next Yeezy headquarters in Los Angeles.

"Ye has been hosting parties for three weeks in a row at the venue and giving away sample pieces for his latest collection," a source told The U.S. Sun. "There's no date set for the release yet but it'll be soon. He's been working hard to get everything ready for his comeback."

Charney and West were spotted together in Japan shopping at Don Quijote in Tokyo.

Charney isn't the only Canadian loosely in Ye's orbit these days. Drake recently shared a video of himself singing "Through the Wire" in advance of his 'It's All a Blur' Tour.

Nav also said he would work with Kanye despite all the controveries surrounding him.
