Typography is an ancient and precise art form. In the Middle Ages, clergymen spent decades painstakingly crafting the elaborate letters for medieval manuscripts. Today, people praise Helvetica, the art world's favorite typeface, and make fun of the joke of typography, Comic Sans. Graphic designers and artists with naughty senses of humor have come up with their own NSFW typefaces that would be perfect for a letter to your lover. Our list of The Dirtiest Fonts Ever Created is enough to make you blush. Just don't write to you mother with these typefaces.

Naked Chicks
13. Naked Chicks Font
Artist: Tim Sutcliffe
San Francisco-based designer Sutcliffe has a background in user experience. It's no surprise that created a sexy font that is more than user friendly.
Cocksure
12. Cocksure
Artist: Les Rowe
Is this font trying to compensate for something? We imagine that grown ass men teenage boys would love this phallic font. They have a habit of drawing penises on everything anyway.
Vintage Erotique
11. Vintage Erotique
Artist: Darrian Lynx
Created by Sacramento-based designer Darrian Lynx, the Vintage Erotique font is classy sexy. The fantasy font plays off of Art Nouveau images, like the women in Alphonse Mucha's vintage posters.
Alpha Silhouettes
10. Alpha Silhouettes
Artist: Darrian Lynx
Another sexy font from Lynx, this one combines seductive silhouettes to make playful letters that would be perfect for spelling out "Playboy."
Nude Walt Whitman Alphabet
9. Nude Walt Whitman Alphabet
Artist: Erik Freer
Freer took Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass and transformed it into something that would've been scandalizing during the poet's time. Paying homage to a fellow gay typesetter, Freer created a typeface using nude images of men's bodies. His cover uses "Armpit Sans," made of screen grabs of men's armpits, and his other sources include classical sculptures, Da Vinic's sketches, as well as body parts from Bruce Lee, a porn star, and a Givenchy model.
Aker
8. Aker
Artist: RAWTYPE (Behance user name)
This Behance typographer's Aker typeface combines 3D modeling to create futuristic letters with provocative illustrations of women. We're not sure what the connection is, but it's still a pretty hot combo.
Effing Typeface
7. Effing Typeface
Artist: Alex Merto
New York graphic designer Merto decided to have a little fun with A to Z by designing a typeface from Asshole to Zipper. These bubble letters are pretty naughty, and our personal favorite is the letter "B."
Bound Typeface
6. Bound Typeface
Artist: RAWTYPE (Behance user name)
Based on research about sex, sexuality, and gender completed at the Kinsey Institute, the Bound Typeface plays with themes of bondage and S&M. This highly kinky typeface makes sexual experimentation look highly uncomfortable.
Nude Bodies Font
5. Bodies Font
Artist: Howard Schatz
Schatz was an ophthalmologist when he began taking photographs as a hobby. His striking images of dancers in beautifully controlled poses were so successful that he became a full-time photographer. The alphabet never looked so graceful and sexy.
Naked Ladies Alphabet
4. Naked Ladies Alphabet
Artist: Anthon Beeke
Dutch graphic designer Anthon Beeke is known for pushing buttons with his erotic designs. He created the Naked Ladies Alphabet in 1970 because of it's universal appeal, claiming in an interview, "I find the body fascinating, not in an erotic way, but as a source of inspiration for ideas. It communicates powerfully. Everyone knows what a hand, foot, belly or nose means. So when you use a body as a means of expression, everyone can understand it." We have no problem understanding this bare skinned typeface.
Nude VBLV
3. Nude VBLV
Artist: Vanessa Beecroft
Beecroft created a nude font for the cover of Louis Vuitton's book VBLV in 2007. However, Anthon Beeke claimed that it copied his own naked alphabet; it used the same number of women to create letters in very similar posing. Beecroft and Louis Vuitton issued a statement agreeing to cease using the font. Although it's clearly a rip-off, we don't mind seeing another nude ladies font.
Naked Silhouette Alphabet
2. Naked Silhouette Alphabet
Artist: Anastasia Mastrakouli
Mastrakouli had some fun in the shower creating a typeface from her body pressed against steamy glass. The lines of her body create an alluring font that only gives you a taste of the anonymous woman cast in silhouette.
Kama Sutra Alphabet
1. Kama Sutra Alphabet
Artist: Malika Favre
In Favre's extremely NSFW font, you can learn the letters of the alphabet and also 26 sex positions for very flexible people. If you can make every letter of this alphabet, we'd be very, very impressed.
