You always hear stories about models getting discovered at malls. But not Kate Moss. As the story goes, she was approached by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm model agency, at JFK airport in 1988. Moss was only 14 years old at the time.
9. She was only 19 when made the cover of Vogue.
Any model will tell you that landing a Vogue cover is kind of a big deal. Moss was already on the cover of British Vogue at 19, making her one of the youngest to ever do so.
8. She found modeling boring.
Earlier in her career, Moss was known as a party girl and often received a lot of flack for it. But during an interview with Time Out she revealed that she drank and did drugs because she started to find modeling boring; she said it was the only way she could cope with the job.
