File this one under "glorification of a musician's tragic end." More than 20 years after his death, the public's fascination with Kurt Cobain hasn't waned, and while he's worthy of being remembered for his musical talents, we need to let the man rest in peace. Online retailer Etsy was under fire for allowing sellers to list tees that feature a screen print of Cobain's suicide note, and while it has since pulled the items, eBay hasn't.

It's difficult to say these shirts pay tribute to the singer, given the sensitivity of the matter. Why would anyone ever think it'd be a great idea to place Cobain's suicide note on anything, really—and make money off it?

A "Kurt Cobain" search on Etsy brings up all kinds of weird memorabilia, and while some are more harmless, like these Nevermind cufflinks, there are others that are downright disrespectful, including a 27 Club candle and a hand-painted skateboard that depicts the singer killing himself.

We'll stick to paying tribute by listening to Cobain's music, thanks.
