Now that winter is practically here, a lot us need more than just a few layers to fight the cold. Thankfully there's a grip of dope scarves for the choosing. An ideal accessory, a lot of dudes have trouble wearing them because they're not too sure how to be tied.
Whether you've got one of the big ones that need to be folded or prefer yours long and skinny, these versatile tying methods are sure to be helpful. We took this blanket lining scarf from The Hill-Side ($127 at Hickoree's) and knotted in up in a variety of ways. Check out Knotty By Nature: 10 Ways to Tie A Scarf.

Toss It Over
The simplest way to rock a scarf, just fold it into thirds, drape it around your neck and toss one end over the other casually. It'll keep it out of the way when you're indoors, and give your neck some breathing room.
1
The Loose Pull-Through
Fold the scarf in half, and then fold both ends together to make a simple loop. Throw in on your neck and pull the ends through the loop loosely, resulting in a chunky but pretty warm simple knot.
3
The Loop
Throw the scarf around your neck with one end longer than the other. Take the longer end and wrap it around your neck twice, and tighten to your liking. The finished result should end with the other end hanging off the other side at the same length. You can tuck it under the roll at your neck to help it stay put.
4
The Loose Loop
Fold the scarf into thirds so it's nice and thin, if you have a thin scarf, you're fine already. Put one end at about the midpoint of your neck and wrap it around to tighten. Take the other end and loop it around loosely, and tuck the back end into the loop around your neck. You can also adjust the tightness, but we dig this loose look.
5
The Tight Pull-Through
Fold the scarf in half and then throw it around your neck, pull the ends through the loop and then pull the fabric at the knot out a little to tighten it and give your neck extra protection. It's the quickest way to ensure warmth on those blustery days.
6
The Chunky Wraparound
Another easy choice for cold-ass weather. Tie the scarf in half, put one end at about where your neck ends and keep wrapping until you're out of fabric. Tuck the other end underneath a fold in the back, and face the elements in style.
7
The Half-Wrap
Fold the scarf in half and wrap it around your neck while leaving the other end out. Take the loose end and tuck it under the wrapped end to secure.
8
The Simple Knot
Fold scarf in half and lay both ends evenly in front of you, tie ends together in a simple knot and let it hang just in front of your neck.
9
The French Knot
This knot is pretty similar to tying a tie. We flipped it backwards so you can see a bit of the mechanics behind it, and we also thought it was kinda cool. To get this effect you make a simple knot and leave some room in front of your neck, then cross the right end of the scarf over the left one, going through a hole in the previous knot without untying it, and then pull the end through and adjust to your liking.

The Winter Ascot
Oh you fancy huh? This classy looking knot is inspired by the same way to wear an ascot. Fold the scarf in half and hang both ends off your neck with one end slightly longer than the other. Wrap the scarf around your neck once, creating a layer. Then, take the longer end around the shorter end twice, and on the second run through loop it over the shorter end, creating the ascot look. Tighten it up and drape it over. Congrats, now you look like you got a napkin in your shirt because you're mobbin' like that.
