Chicago-based photographer Randy P. Martin creates beautiful compositions that capture the scenes of humans in solitude within their large surrounding environments. While his portraits often feature the back views of his models, he focuses on having small numbers of people—usually one or two—and a larger proportion of their setting. The wide angles of his shots make his work almost like landscape photography, but their small subjects have a lot to contribute to the frame.
