New York-based art collective Snarkitecture has created a 10,000-square-foot ball pit at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.—and you can actually play in it.
Titled "The Beach" the new interactive installation represents a relaxing trip to the waterfront, with a sea of almost one million recyclable translucent plastic balls as the ocean that visitors can swim in.
The monochromatic scene reflects the artists' style, featuring all-white beach chairs and umbrellas that are perfect for chilling out along the 50-foot-wide shoreline. The space also has a mirrored wall to create a feeling of infinite space.
The installment is part of the museums "Summer Block Party" and will run through September 7.
