Carven creative director Guillaume Henry may have been inspired by the Dada movement when he created these collages for his fall/winter 2014 campaign. Composed of three different complementary components (the model, the color, and the background images), each image could easily pass as a still from a Surrealist film.

The Italian house drew inspiration from the Norman Kingdom of Sicily for their fall/winter 2014 campaign, paying tribute to the dramatic junction of Viking and Latin culture. The heavy chain mail-inspired knits and Romanesque motifs take us all the way back to 1130.

To celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, Los Angeles native Band of Outsiders' fall campaign, shot by founder Scott Sternberg, reunites eight of the brand’s favorite faces for a series of Polaroids. Featuring Childish Gambino, Andrew Garfield, and Jason Schwartzman, among others, the campaign evokes the carefree cool of California and reflects on the brand's not-too-distant past.

Featuring Victoria's Secret babe/Transformers starlet Rosie Huntington-Whiteley standing atop mountain peaks, Prabal Gurung's fall/winter 2014 campaign pays tribute to the designer's Nepalese heritage. The vibrant red and violet colors in the images are sacred to Tibetan culture, from which Gurung's upcoming collection draws inspiration.

Starring actor James McAvoy and shot by Annie Leibovitz, Prada's fall/winter 2014 campaign “pays homage to the German avant-garde” in all its moody black-and-white glory. The rugged, rather gloomy backdrop of the English seashore contrasts brilliantly with the brand's trademark clean silhouettes.

For most of us, family photos can be an embarrassing affair. Not so for British model Edie Campbell, whose genetically blessed family was cool enough to be featured in Lanvin's fall/winter 2014 campaign. Even Grandma Campbell and the family's pet horse make cameo appearances. Who knew mullets and crutches could look so badass?

If there's one brand that knows how to make puffer jackets look cool, it's Moncler. Their fall/winter 2014 campaign, shot by Annie Leibovitz, showcases the versatility of the brand's signature down jacket—“born in the mountains, lives in the city,” as their motto goes.

Known for their bold and eye-catching campaigns, Dior delivers again this season with a new twist. Drawing from minimalism, the campaign strips away many of the usual elements to emphasize to the fashion and brand. The monochromatic color scheme of the background contrasts the blues and greens in the clothing, and the Dior sculpture helps to add angles and sharp lines to the campaign, drawing our eyes Dior's razor sharp suits and jackets.

Swedish brand Björn Borg looked to the future for this season's campaign. Flirtual Reality, described as an investigation into the “deepened relations between humans and robots” imagines a future where men, women, and robots can parade around the city in their finest underwear without judgment.

French fashion house Christian Lacroix's bright and geometric campaign draws from minimalism to create these daring ads. Defined by clean lines and blocks of blue, the advertisement's understated background draws attention to Lacroix's clean cuts and bright patterns.

Shot in Los Angeles, Hedi Slimane's classic black-and-white campaign looks like stills from an old film. Featuring musicians Jack Dalby and Jake Smallwood on a rooftop, the French brand evokes a vintage, James Dean-esque vibe emphasized by the minimalistic California skyline.

Favorite on the streets of London, Hype released a 7 Wonders collection in collaboration with ASOS. The collection's campaign features Hype's staple printed shirts in new patterns and an accompanying image of the print. The prints are photo-manipulations of each of the Seven Wonders of the World, adding hypnotic geometric designs and mirroring.

Following the trajectory of his spring/summer campaign also shot by Klein, which featured models in a grimy public bathroom, Wang takes us now to what seems to be the inside of a prison. The campaign features sulking yet impossibly chic models trapped in a dreary facility worthy of Orange is the New Black. The bright accents of the pieces are emphasized in contrast to the sterile, monochromatic backdrop of the setting.

Photographed in the fairytale-esque city of Prague, Asger Juel Larsen's fall collection incorporates the “sinister and sublime” of our world. The campaign tells a tale of abandoned “city-punks” who have crashed into a new place with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Stoltze & Stef use the darkly gothic statues and cobblestone of the Czech Republic to create a modern folk tale. The campaign emphasizes the durability of the clothes and the mix of streetwear and high fashion found in Asger Juel Larsen's label.

Set on the beautiful glaciers of Iceland, Peter Lindbergh crafts a haunted and chilly campaign for the French house. The stark contrast and gothic look of the white icy backdrop and the black suits and coats on a lone figure create powerful silhouettes and suggest a narrative that brings us along to the frozen plains of Iceland.
