The Most Memorable Celebrity Outfits of 2013

This past May, Drake broke the Internet when he wore a Dada shortsuit on the set of DJ Khaled's "No New Friends" music video. His now-famous looking back pose was turned into dozens of memes, making for some of the best ones to hit the web—even better than Jay Z awkwardly jumping into a pool.

But Drizzy Drake wasn't the only one who blessed us with a memorable outfit this past year. Granted not all would be shoveled onto the "good" pile—2 Chainz, Justin Bieber, and R. Kelly also came out with some unforgettable shit that we may not be able to unsee. Of course, so did Kanye West and A$AP Rocky. And good or bad, each celeb outfit reflected the trends and style of the year. So reminisce; here are The Most Memorable Celebrity Outfits of 2013.

Where: Maison Martin Margiela fashion show
When: Jan. 23, 2013

Kanye west ended 2012 with an owl mask worn while performing at an Atlantic City show, and started the following year with another facial accessory—a red ski mask. Soon, what started as a stage outfit became a trend. Other celebrities, such as 2 Chainz, French Montana, Justin Bieber, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and even Leonardo di Caprio, wore their versions of the visage-coverage.

Jay Z isn't one for acceptance speeches, but that night, he delivered a quick knock out to The-Dream's outfit. After The-Dream accepted the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "No Church In The Wild", Hov said, "I'd like to thank the swap meet for his hat." And the rest was history.

The-Dream told Sway that everything was good now and that Jay was only joking. Even if that were the case, the singer looked hurt. Oof.

2 Chainz is going to wear whatever 2 Chainz wants, and it somehow works. Versace cape on his Count Dracula shit? Why the hell not.

To this day, it's still unclear as to why the Biebs wore a gas mask when he stopped by the Acne store in London. Was he inspired by Kanye West? Did he know the apocalypse and we just don't know better? Either way, Bieber finally got the attention of his drop-crotch pants.

Rappers had already been wearing long gold chains by the time Jay Z came with this five kilo chain. But none of those guys had a fucking five kilo chain. Not much else needs to be said to explain why this is memorable, right?

Kokon to Zai had a lot of success this year. Everyone from Rihanna to 2 Chainz wore several pieces from the brand. But A$AP Rocky shitted on all of them when this photo of him in his tour bus was posted online. If that KTZ suit looks unfamiliar, that's because it was custom made for the rapper himself. If you look close, it even has "ASAP" on it.

Macklemore keeps racking up all these awards and nominations, but he really needs to be paying attention to his outfits a little more. The rapper attended the MTV Movie Awards in a bright blue suit and a...circus cape. He definitely landed on more than a few worst-dressed lists that night. No one should be taking inspiration from T-Pain circa 2008. No one.

Drake doesn't believe in new friends and, apparently, new brands either. While on the set of the "No New Friends" music video, the Toronto rapper wore a Dada Supreme suit circa 1998. The Internets had a field day with this one, turning Drizzy in that now-famous looking back pose into as many memes as humanly possible. Someone also smart enough to capitalize on this, making a polo shirt with a small image of Drake on the chest. Hilariously, Drake actually placed an order on the shirts, but claims he never received them.

Dwyane Wade heard it from everyone when he wore this terrible suit. Kevin Hart said the NBA player was wearing his "personal suit" and, following this clip that aired on TNT, Charles Barkley said the Miami Heat was "officially the worst dressed team in the NBA."

Let 2013 be remembered as the year all guys finally learned not to wear capris.

Evidently, no one told any of the performers at Summer Jam that leather and heat don't mix. A lot of cows were sacrificed that night—especially for Sean Kingston's red leather shorts and black leather panel on the back of his T-shirt. SMH.

After a lengthy hiatus, R. Kelly returned to the stage and performed at the BET Awards. He wore this ridiculous studded jacket to keep all thirsty women at bay, obviously. How did the TSA let him fly with this wearable weapon?

Robin Thicke's striped suit was definitely overshadowed by Miley's twerking, but all the parodies of the performance have made this outfit just as memorable. Seriously, Thicke should be pretty thankful Miley ensured that he wasn't, ahem, the butt of everyone's jokes.

LOL. 2 Chainz and singer Grimes showed up to the VMAs wearing a pair of pants from the Versace runway show. Yes, they were from the men's collection, but this twinsies moment was still pretty funny

While walking the red carpet, Tity Boi approached Grimes, who was co-hosting the pre-show, and jokingly asked, "What are you doing?" Grimes reply? "It's like The Parent Trap."
