Most stylish women are irresistable. Few, if any at all, could argue with that. You never have to worry about them walking out in pajamas and Uggs. They also almost always smell great. And, to be real for a second, every woman has amazing traits about her and things to offer beyond being well-dressed and stylish.

While the pros may be obvious, and we clearly don't speak for every well-dressed lady, there can be drawbacks. It's cool to have a stylish girl in theory, but the grass isn't always greener on this end. We've learned through years of experience that sometimes it's best to keep some distance and simply admire from afar. Here are 11 Reasons Why Dating a Stylish Girl is Overrated.

To stay sample size, she's always dieting, which means you are too.

This doesn't apply to all stylish women, but there are some who live by strict diets to stay sample size. So, if you just read about a sick new restaurant on FirstWeFeast, chances are you'll have to go dolo and risk a fight, or not at all. Either way, you lose.

Whenever she invites you somewhere, you have no clue what the dress code is.

She's always inviting you to cool events, which is great, but the dress code is always something like "garden goth," "subway glam," or "sticky." You never have any idea how to decode this jibberish, and you always end up looking like an idiot. That's when you get hit with the stank face.

She thinks she's out of your league, but your friends think she's just an avant garde weirdo.

Being stylish means taking risks. And although that's something we often applaud, there are times when things get out of hand. Sometimes, stylish women get too fucking advanced and their whole look just doesn't make sense. You thought you were bringing this mad attractive girl to your boy's party, and that all your friends would be jealous of you. Not the case, though.

She can't actually afford designer clothes, so she just names her kids and pets after them

Kanye West rapped: "Couldn't afford a car, so she named her daughter Alexis." In that same vein, women have also given their babies and pets struggle designer names because they couldn't afford Chanel or Alaïa. This weird coping method should be a red flag for worse things on the horizon. Just pray that, when she's with her friends, she doesn't refer to your ding-a-ling as Alexander Wang.

Her personal shopper knows more about her than you do.

Here's how this works: these two spend every waking minute together having deep conversations about men, spend every day shopping together, and endlessly talk shit about other women. Then, they complain about why you don't make time for them.

She'd rather stream runway shows than watch Netflix.

Sometimes all you want to do is watch some Netflix with your girl. But she won't let you because she says she needs to stay up-to-date on all her fashuns via live streaming shows. You better be on that unlimited bandwidth plan, playa.

She's always the star of the show.

No one ever wants to admit it, but the truth is, there's some deep narcissism in fashion. Yes, your girl cares about you, but she might be a little too concerned about herself and the way she looks. She rarely, if at all, lets you get some shine. This ain't healthy, fam!

Compliments from strangers mean more to her than any gesture you make.

Getting the approval of complete strangers always outweighs any nice gesture or gift you give her. Why? Because chances are, she gets dressed in the morning to turn heads on the street—again, the narcissistic part of fashion. She wants people to notice her new shoes, and no matter what nice things you may do, her whole week is ruined if by Wednesday if complete strangers and people she barely knows don't notice.

You spend a lot of time on the store's "boyfriend couch" while she spends hours looking at shoes she won't buy.

We're all too familiar with this.

It's impossible to please her on her birthday.

Stylish women are only about the finest, most tasteful things in life and, thus, impossible to please. How many times have you gotten her something dope (and expensive) and you get hit with "I already have that," or "I don't like it in this color," or "Lisa already has this." In the end, all your efforts were for naught and you look like the loser boyfriend who gave a shitty gift even though in reality, it's the thought that should count.

She can't differentiate between the fantasy world the fashion industry creates and real life

She can't differentiate between the fantasy world that the fashion industry creates and real life.

Not a day, or sentence, goes by where she doesn't have a fashion-related reference for real life situations. She says things like, "My best friend stole my cardigan, like the time YSL, before Hedi, stole Christian Louboutin's red soles." There are no circumstances, no matter how serious, that are off limits. "I cried at the funeral almost as much as Raf leaving Jil." You can only take so much of this before you look into institutional options.
