Tradeshow season is in full swing and (capsule) is back in New York City today and tomorrow (January 17 and 18) before heading over to Las Vegas and Paris. Only the best brands in contemporary streetwear are invited to showcase their collections and while we look forward to checking out everyone each year, we wanted to share a sneak peek of the 8 brands we're most excited to see . You'll recognize some names (Jeff Staple's STPL and Maiden Noir , but we also want to shed light on a couple lines you might not be familiar with yet. As we did for the Agenda show last week, here's a quick rundown. Check 'em out.

Garbstore

BRAND: Garbstore
SINCE: 2008
FOUNDER: Ian Pasley
WHY
WE CO-SIGN: Garbstore always uses original fabrics and goes through the process of finding dead stock vintage clothes that show no signs of dust or griminess. Also did we mention that we love parkas! More parkas! Garbstore does it the best.

Norse Projects

BRAND: Norse Projects
SINCE: 2002

FOUNDERS: Tobia Sloth, Anton Juul, and Mikkel Groennebaek

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Another Danish brand that's popping on the Scandinavian front.
Noted most recently for their 3-way collab with Colette and traditional Breton outfitters, Armor Lux, Mikkel and his crew roll deep with KAWS.

BRAND: master-piece

SINCE: 1994

FOUNDER: Taichi Fujimatsu

WHY WE CO-SIGN: As you may have seen the Stussy collab all over the blogs, you should know that master-piece is the mastermind behind the release. Known for their high-quality backpacks that focuses mainly on functionality for daily use, they use water repellent and lightweight materials. A Japanese giant quietly entering the American market, Barneys New York, should not sleep on this one!

EDWIN

BRAND: EDWIN

SINCE: 1969

FOUNDER: K.K. Tsunemi

WHY WE CO-SIGN: The Complex staple denim for the season, designer Atsushi Aono sets fall trends. This year, we'll see a concentration on minimalistic approaches to style without the OD on logos.

Staple

BRAND: Staple
SINCE: 1997
FOUNDER: Jeff Staple

WHY WE CO-SIGN: We've been eagerly anticipating each collection since Jeff
Staple moved production to Japan. This year, we're looking forward
to seeing outerwear and shirts from this leader in sportswear.

Maiden Noir

BRAND: Maiden Noir

SINCE: 2006

FOUNDER: Nin Truong

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Maiden Noir is always on our radar. Nin is a mindreader when it comes to making sick head-to-toe workwear outfits. We loved the Porter collab and we can't wait to see their spin on camo this season.

Our Legacy

BRAND: Our Legacy
SINCE: 2005

FOUNDERS: Cristopher Nying and Jockum Hallin
