Opening Ceremony has partnered with Aldo Product Services (APS), a division of the footwear company Aldo, to expand its shoe offering, according to Business of Fashion. The global licensing agreement is set to go into effect in the Spring/Summer 2016 season, so expect to see a much larger selection of shoes from the beloved brand as we get closer to the fall.

According to the report, we shouldn't see any change in the sometimes strange designs as Opening Ceremony is maintaining complete control over the creative side, while APS will only handle the business aspect. APS will produce the shoes as well as help with sales and distribution; getting Opening Ceremony into a larger selection of stores.

"As a company, we are committed to growing this category and it was important for us to expand into areas in the footwear line that we previously were not able to access due to production constraints," Opening Ceremony co-founder Carol Lim told Business of Fashion. "With APS, we don't run into those types of issues anymore."

Opening Ceremony seems to be growing by leaps and bounds after launching as a single store looking to champion lesser known brands in 2002. Founders Lim and Humberto Leon expressed a desire to spread Opening Ceremony stores to every major city in the U.S. recently.
