If you are a guy who lives in New York, chances are you have a facial hair, and that beard or mustache probably makes you feel like a whole new man, at least according to a new study conducted by Braun.
The company surveyed 1,000 men in New York to gather data on their grooming practices. The results show that 53 percent of men reported feeling more attractive to the opposite sex with a beard than without, and 41 percent feel more confident with hair on their face. This might explain why so many men in NYC have hopped on the beard trend. 67 percent of the survey respondents said that they have at least some facial hair, and of those that didn't, 76.7 percent of them said it was because they weren't able to grow any properly.
Although the beard trend has been here for a while, and gotten pretty ridiculous, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. This survey corroborates recent findings that men grow beards to attract women. The only question now is who's going to tell these guys that women are more attracted to men without facial hair and that their beards are filled with shit?
