Just because the barbershop remains an undying institution for most men doesn't mean that they can't evolve. Bevel has created a video series, focused on the most iconic haircuts and styles, that will pull one aspect of the barbershop, namely the outdated style boards, into the 21st century.

Bevel wants to revolutionize those old barbershop boards with a full multi-media experience featuring some of the most accomplished hair cutters. The six-part video series features famous barbers, such as Denny Moewhose starry clientele includes Keith Sweat, Bobby Brown, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, and Eddie Murphy; Faheem Alexanderbarber to the Roots; and Jomo Kenyatta, who works with Usher, Swiss Beats, Common, Future, and Shepard Fairey.

The cast of barbers, which also includes Marcus Harvey and Marshall Almeida, discuss the meaning and importance of the barbershop in the video series' first installment. "Barbers have so many different hats that they wear. They're the fashion guru, they're the sports analyst, they're the philosopher," Harvey says.  "Movements are built in barbershops."

Bevel will release a new video each week focusing on different hair styles. The five videos to come will spotlight topics like fades, essentials, parts, naturals, and trends. Watch the full introduction video above, and head over to Bevel to get the full lowdown on the new project.
