Exhibit See: Salvador Dalís Statues on Display at the Time Warner Center (NYC)

Last night the Time Warner Center in New York unveiled a new Salvador Dalí exhibition, “The Vision of a Genius”. The collection consists of sixteen bronze sculptures set throughout the main mall of the building, so if you happen to be in New York this holiday season you can get your culture on while you knock out some Christmas shopping. Many of the statues are three-dimensional imaginings of the artist's iconic imagery, including melting clocks, ladies with drawers coming out of their bodies, and whimsical takes on art classics. The show also features 40 original drawings, watercolors, and collages including three studies from Alfred Hitchcock's 1945 movie Spellbound. The show is on view through the end of April at the Time Warner Center, located at 10 Columbus Circle. Hit the jump for images of the show that were taken last night, along with the original works they were inspired by.
