J. Lindeberg has signed Czech tennis sensation Markéta Vondroušová as its newest brand ambassador.

The news arrives a little over a month after the 24-year-old made history by becoming the first unseeded player to win the ladies singles championship at Wimbledon. Vondroušová, who signed a multiyear deal with J. Lindeberg for an undisclosed amount, will make her debut as brand ambassador at the U.S. Open, which begins next week in New York City.

"I’m very excited to partner with J.Lindeberg, since it’s a brand that aligns with my core values and we share a vision for breaking new conventions in the tennis world," Vondroušová shared in a statement. "Their new collection offers a unique crossover between high-end fashion and athletic performance with a design that is trendy, stylish and athletic. I can’t wait to introduce their upcoming looks on the courts at the US Open and look forward to working closely with J.Lindeberg’s designers on upcoming collections."

Back in July, Vondroušová scored her first Grand Slam singles title in just her second career major final in an upset win over No. 6 seed Ons Jabeur. The Czech superstar's performance at Wimbledon helped Vondroušová climb from No. 42 in the WTA rankings to No. 9 in the world.

“I know that going into the tournament as a Top 10 player and Grand Slam winner will be a challenge; staying mentally strong and focusing on matches point-by-point will be key,” Vondroušová noted in today's press release. “Having a partner like J.Lindeberg that aligns with my values as a person and as an athlete gives me extra confidence. I can’t wait to compete.”

Despite entering the U.S. Open, which marks the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year, as the reigning Wimbledon champion, Vondroušová is considered a longshot to win her second Grand Slam title.

You can check out some of the pieces from the collection below. On her favorite pieces and how will her personal style show through outfits at the U.S. Open, she says, "The combination of a fashionable pleated skirt with a simple tank top is exactly the type of outfit I love to play in as it portrays the cross over between fashion, performance, and comfort. I also love the Elodie dress from the collection which again is a simple, clean, yet fashionable look."
