Last summer we learned that the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) was flirting with the idea of establishing a separate Men's Fashion Week in New York, something that already exists in cities like Milan, Paris, and London. The council got support from designers and investors, including Dreamworks and Amazon, and the CFDA confirmed recently that the event will kick off this July at Skylight Clarkson Square in New York City.
CFDA has been gradually revealing the list of designers who will be participating in the four-day event. The lineup, as it stands, includes Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors, Rag & Bone, Public School, Billy Reid, Todd Snyder, Michael Bastian, Ovadia & Sons, Robert Geller, Duckie Brown, Orley, Patrik Ervell, and Kent and Curwen. There is no word as to how many designers will be on the final roster, but July 13 is still a few months away so we're hoping for quite a few more surprise additions.
Stay tuned for more information as it rolls in.
