French artist Xavier Veilhan will open a solo exhibition, titled "Music" at two Galerie Perrotin locations in Paris and New York this week. The exhibition will feature works from his "Producers" series, figurative sculptures of "music producers who are responsible for creating the soundtrack of our time," including Brian Eno, Nigel Godrich, Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin, and Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes.

This is not the first time that Pharrell's likeness has been used to create a work of art. Daniel Arsham also created a full-body cast of the producer last year for the "GIRL" exhibition Pharrell curated at Galerie Perrotin. Both Veilhan and Arsham will participate in the forthcoming Hennessy 250 Tour to celebrate the brand's landmark anniversary and dedication to the arts.
Obviously, the Paris and New York editions of the "Music" exhibition won't be identical, but according to a press release from Galerie Perrotin, in both locations Veilhan "offers us visual translations and representations of our auditory environment and the people responsible for its production. In so doing, he makes visible our hypermodern and increasingly artificial aural world, which, without intervention, can often go unnoticed and unconsidered...With 'Music', the artist provides a visual reminder that our lives are suffused with sounds of our own design."
"Music" opens in New York on Feb. 26 and in Paris on March 7, with both editions ending on April 11. For more info, head to the Galerie Perrotin website.
