Last week, Aimé Leon Dore dropped a teaser video of its 22-piece military-inspired NY NAVY collection. The short clip provided quick looks at the beanies, cargo pants, sweat shorts, popover jackets, and other pieces in olive green, cream, heather grey, and navy blue. The color palette extends to the rest of the collection, which includes bomber jackets, twill pants and shorts, waffle T-shirts, crewnecks, and flight jackets.

Designer Teddy Santis was inspired by the similarities between the United States Navy and New York City, namely the attention to detail and the ability of many to work together toward a larger goal. Santis used a variety of materials including Canadian-milled French terry and Japanese nylon, cotton twill, satin, and canvas. Overall, the collection is clean and doesn't take the military theme to the extreme with weird cuts and features that would only be practical at sea.

The collection will be sold exclusively at the Aimé Leon Dore concept shop at 179 Mott St. in NYC from April 9 through April 13, and will hit AimeLeonDore.com on April 13.
