Stone Island Shadow Project steps into the spotlight for Spring/Summer 2020 with their brightest collection to date.
When it comes to pushing the envelope, Stone Island Shadow Project has been leading the pack, using each seasonal delivery to expand their portfolio of research and experimentation to offer up some of the industries boldest menswear concepts. Spring/Summer 2020 puts the focus on the concept of density, honing in on shape and the effects of garment construction when combined with contrasting fabrications. As is commonplace with Shadow Project deliveries, a series of fabric treatment take centre stage, with SS20 putting the special highlight compacted nylon cotton COMPACT treatment at the forefront of the collection. The result of the fabric treatment is a striking patina effect that emphasises Stone Island's iconic dyes.
Expanding on signature elements of Stone Island's mainline, SS20 also welcome Striped Nylon Metal that incorporates a contrasting stripe finish into the bold metallic finish of the fabric. Furthermore, DPM CHINÉ JACQUARD receives its third evolution, combining deep colours and graphic detailing with an additional jacquard weave texture that creates a unique striped texture. Additional fabrications across the full outerwear component offer windproof, water-resistant and breathable performances membranes, alongside technical details. Contrary to what the name Shadow Project may suggest, Spring/Summer 2020 provides one of the boldest colour palettes to date, with a wide range of reds, pinks, blues, and greens in a striking set of arrangements.
