Joint in their mission to spread awareness on some of the world’s endangered species, Represent & Karmagawa launch an exclusive charity capsule collection.
In recent times people have begun asking more of brand’s and designer’s as they seek out product with a purpose, challenging and encouraging them to think sustainably. A lot of the time these aims may feel hollow, providing only buzzwords for the sake of marketing. To make a real stand for what they believe in, Represent has teamed up with Karmagawa to spread awareness concerning the killing of sharks and lions around the world. The tight capsule collection that uses key Represent silhouettes as its base showcases graphics of each animal, in both black and white, to make a bold mission statement. There is no doubt each piece looks the part, but the duo know that isn’t enough, and as such 100% of the collection’s profits will be donated to the Sharks4Kids and The Born Free Foundation charities.
Sharks4Kids aims to create the next generation of shark advocates through education, outreach, and adventure, while Born Free looks to ensure wild animals are treated with the respect they deserve. Karmagawa has played a pivotal role in changing global perceptions of the current environmental crisis and how it directly impacts global wildlife, utilising their social media platform and creative partnerships to push the narrative to a global audience. Since their founding just over 2 years ago. Karmagawa has donated $4 million to 45 charities working to rescue and protect animals and to save the environment while also building 57 schools and libraries, with a goal to build 1,000+ in the future.
