It's official, Details magazine is dead.

A statement from Condé Nast president Bob Sauerberg, tweeted by New York Times reporter Ravi Somaiya, details (pun not intended) the end of the men's magazine. The major takeaway is that Details will cease publication following its December 2015/January 2016 issue, and will be folded directly into sister publication GQ's GQStyle.com vertical.

On the women's magazine side, Condé Nast also plans to merge the advertising sales staffs of Self and Glamour magazines, in an effort to target a larger, combined audience.

“It’s been tough the last few months,” Mr. Sauerberg told The Wall Street Journal. Speaking on Details, “Consumers love the magazine. It’s not fair or right.”

Condé Nast has been trimming the fat this year when it comes to the magazines under its umbrella, including the notable folding of Style.com into Vogue Runway back in August
