It seems it doesn't take much for a student's hair to be considered "extreme" enough for them to to be sent home from school. England teen Luke Bolton was removed from class on Monday after his teachers were shocked by his trendy hairstyle.
Bolton sports a disconnected undercut, which is a fancy way of saying shaved on the sides and long on the top. The style has become increasingly popular thanks to celebrities like David Beckham and Brad Pitt, but it is considered an extreme cut by Bolton's administrators.
As a punishment, Bolton has been placed in "internal exclusion" that requires him to complete his work away from other students for a week.
His parents are obviously not happy about the school's decision. They are defending their son and slamming the school for their decision.
"I can't believe that they have taken it this far, and have told them they are not putting him in an internal. They said it was an excessive hair cut, but this is a style that is about nowadays," his dad told the Daily Mail.
