Aimé Leon Dore and Teddy Santis got a nice Puma collaboration on deck that really speaks to the ALD aesthetic in the perfect way. It's a simple, no frills, low-top take on Puma's classic "States" remodeled with some integral pieces to make it the perfect go-to summer sneaker in a few different colorways: grey/navy, cream/red and a flipped red/cream. We're under the assumption that the cream joints are a friends and family only version and we've reached out to Teddy for more information, so we'll keep you posted on that. Rather than, say, suede, ALD x Puma comes complete with a perforated air mesh upper to keep shit breathable, a Nano Glide™ liner to make sure you aren't walking in your own filth five minutes after stepping outside and an eyelet panel made of plush leather. Puma has been big on collaborative projects recently, not to mentioned signing Rihanna as "creative director," but this is easily the best of the bunch. It's simple and matches up with best in class taste level Teddy has cultivated with the brand thus far. Aimé Leon Dore x Pumas launches this Saturday, May 16th, exclusively online at ALD's website at 11am EST for $120 and ALD will be dropping a small "Made To Order in NYC" collection to compliment the sneakers next week. More info on that to come.
