Up-and-coming menswear label STONE knows damn well that less is more. But it also knows that boring is never in style.

For its Fall/Winter 2015 collection, the New York-based brand explores the themes of individuality and conformity among a smart selection of staples that are deceptively simple. Designers/co-founders Dana Mason and Dakota Smith say the inspiration for the collection was drawn from the concept of the modern uniform, which adheres to traditional functionality while incorporating unconventional construction and unexpected textiles, such as wool, cashmere, and soft leather.

The range of polos, long-sleeve crew necks, sweaters, and trousers is dominated by a muted color palette that is often seen among clean Scandinavian lines. However, STONE elevates the garments above standard minimalism through subtle details, like appliques and paneling.
