Rick Owens has addressed his Fall/Winter 2015 menswear show, which if you missed it, included full frontal male nudity

Explaining his reasoning behind it, the designer told i-D magazine it was about time nudity wasn't only in women's runway shows. "I thought it was the most simple, primal gesture—and you know I love a simply tiny, little gesture that packs the wallop," Owens said.

"It's very powerful," he added. "Not many people can do that. I mean, it's a straight world now. And it also, I think, says something about being independent. Who else can really get away with that kind of stuff? It's a corporate world."

While the male peep show may have been unexpected, it isn't necessarily out of characteristic for Owens, who's always gone for the unforeseen. He sent a step team down the runway while showing his Spring/Summer 2014 women's collection in Paris, made long du-rags a central part of his Fall/Winter 2014 collection, and featured old men and male nudity in his Fall/Winter 2014 lookbook.
