John Elliott's dreams of producing gear nearly everyone wants to get their hands on are coming true. By now, you're familiar with the man's eponymous brand and the way that it's evolving the luxury basics game. But what you might not know is just how far back his aspirations go. In a profile on the brand in Business of Fashion, Elliott reveals that, in 1991, he sent ideas and sneaker designs to Nike at the age of 8. Nike wrote back. Sadly, they rejected Elliott's submission.
