This week, it was announced that for the second time in a row, Louis Vuitton will design a custom trunk for the prestigious FIFA World Cup trophy—made from 18-carat gold, malachite and brass hardware, and featuring the fashion house’s iconic monogrammed pattern.
The trophy will be held in the official carrying case during its travel to the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro for the final game on July 13. And—just to ensure FIFA’s fashion cred is on lock—it will be presented by Brazil’s most famous and sexiest export: supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
