Colombian artist Federico Uribehas been using colored pencils to make sculptures, and not in the way you’d think. Instead of using the saturated graphite as a medium, he makes use of the entire pencil. The finished pieces are textured, Van Gogh-esque standalone contraptions that look smooth and geometric. Some of his more elaborate pencil-sculptures include the head of a zebra, a human struggling with a dragon, and a beaver perched atop part of his dam.
