With an abundance of news, celebrity feuds, and mundane thoughts flooding Twitter at every given moment, it seems unlikely that anyone is paying attention to the tweets rolling down their feed for longer than a few seconds. Unlike everyone else on Twitter, however, the artist behind Drawn Your Tweet actually peruses the social network looking for funny tweets to recreate visually.

"I wanted to see what kind of reaction a drawing can have when sent to a stranger. It's a random act but hopefully it's something that will put a smile on their face," Drawn Your Tweet wrote in an email. "I believe a platform like Twitter opens up so many opportunities for creative folk like myself as well as people with a more serious message to convey."

The anonymous artist first started posting cartoon depictions of other Twitter users' tweets at the beginning of February and has only recently launched into fame. "Now I've got a fair few followers, choosing a tweet to draw is quite a task! I'll will just trawl Twitter looking for a tweet I know can be turned into an amusing or interesting drawing," he elaborated.

Though Drawn Your Tweets does not take requests, you never know, maybe one of your tweets will end up being recreated as a sweet cartoon, too. In the meantime, check out The Funniest Illustrations by @DrawnYourTweet.
