Would you buy a Hood By Air salad bowl? If you plan on attending DIS Magazine's new art exhibition, you may decide that it's the tableware you've needed in your life all this time.

From March 6 to April 6, the “DISown – Not For Everyone" exhibition will take over Red Bull Studios' gallery space (220 West 18th Street) in New York to examine taste and consumerism. Curated by Agatha Wara and DIS Magazine, the exhibition has work by over 30 contemporary artists and designers, from Ryan Trecartin to Lizzie FitchJon Rafman, Bjarne Melgaard, Amalia Ulman, and Telfar.

Wara says, “In the art market, artists’ names take on the characteristics of luxury brands and artworks act as high-end retail goods. DISown tests the current status of the art object and presents a new mode for artist production." The products in the exhibition will be for sale in the range of $50-$500.
