Hyperrealism meets hallucinations.

Brooklyn-based artist Kelsey Henderson is currently showing a collection of paintings at the Envoy Enterprises in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The hyperreal paintings depict somewhat altered states of reality and fetishistic imagery, aligning with the exhibition's title "Dull the Will," which means to hypnotize or put under a spell. The artist tells Milk Made that her subjects, or "muses," are people in her life or interesting people that she finds while searching Instagram.

Compared to her previous exhibition, Henderson describes "Dull the Will" as explorative. To learn more about what the artist is exploring, visit the exhibition between now and January 9 and check out the Envoy Enterprises website here.
