The photos you’re looking at are not digitally altered in any way; instead, these snaps were created through traditional means, simply using infrared film. New York-based photographer Sean Lynch, who took his Kodak EIR film to the Annapurna Himalayan Range of Nepal, created them. Already a stunning environment for photography, the Nepalese mountains transform into something otherworldly and strange, full of the colors of psychedelic nightmares and tripped-out landscapes. It’s nothing short of amazing, wild, and a bit spooky.

Lynch takes many, many different types of photos. Check out more of his work on his blog—including an infrared look at New York City.
