Studio Roosegaarde, the "social design lab for interactive art, fashion and architecture," designed this bike path with special stones that absorb sunlight and emit a soft glow. The path was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's famous painting "Starry Nights" and was installed near where the artist lived in the Eindhoven region of the Netherlands. The designers have used their crystal LED technology in other projects, from road strips to the "Lotus Dome" they installed in a 17th century church in France. The path won't be completed until 2014 for some reason, but when it is done it will make for a very cool evening of riding.
