The New York City Department of Transportation is offering New Yorkers a chance to zip line across the Manhattan skyline during the first three Saturdays in August. Nearly 200 people tested out the city's free zip line at an unveiling yesterday in Union Square. As part of NYC's "Summer Streets" festival which includes seven miles of blocked off streets aimed to encourage healthy recreation and sustainable forms of transportation, the new zip line will propel daring New Yorkers across a massive 160-foot cable line. Nananana Batman anyone? Hit the thumbs for a look at yesterdays awesome demonstration in Union Square. [AnimalNewYork]
