The crappy apartment is a well-worn sitcom trope that we've already pointed out, but even more often, sitcoms throughout history have been known to feature some of the nicest homes on television. Most are your standard, relatively realistic suburban houses, while many New York set series tend to feature fantastically unrealistic apartments with tons of space and low rent *cough Friends.* Let's be clear about the wording though - these are the best sitcom homes. That's an open field that can consist of houses, apartments, as well as some less clearly defined dwellings that are nevertheless "where the heart is," on any half-hour series. Read on for The 50 Coolest Sitcom Homes.
Martin
50. Martin & Gina's Apartment
Series: Martin
Location: Detroit, MI
Martin and Gina's place wasn't particularly special, but the colorful characters that inhabited their building more than made up for the standard apartment setting. Namely Tommy, and the overly sassy, entertainingly antagonistic Pam.
Dinosaurs
49. The Sinclair House
Series: Dinosaurs
Location: Pangaea
Nuclear family household, B.C. style. The old ABC sitcom with a prehistoric twist, Dinosaurs was basically a series-long wink at the audience. Setting aside, it bore no other differences from your typical family half-hour comedy. With that said, yes the Sinclair-osauruses obviously lived in a cave dwelling appropriate to the prehistoric times but in essence it's just another standard family-of-five home, down to the TV. So, maybe not so appropriate to the times then.
Flinstones
48. Flintstone House
Series: The Flintstones
Location: Bedrock
Much like its live-action successor Dinosaurs, The Flintstones was a different sitcom in setting only. Once you get past the Stone Age time period, Fred was just another working schlub that managed to lock down a wife out of his [animated] league. The crib was modest, but still solid (no pun intended), and the various animals-as-technology gags are still clever to this day.
That 70's Show
Fez's Apartment
Series: That 70's Show
Location: Point Place, WI
They were about a year late, but after the gang graduated high school Fez's foster parents finally realized they were no longer obligated to support him and subsequently kicked him out. He quickly got an apartment with Kelso, but when Ashton Kutcher left the series he moved to Chicago, Jackie took his spot on the lease.
Surprisingly, Fez kept the quaint apartment looking nice enough, though Jackie was the roommate from Hell, clueless to the extreme of overflowing the entire apartment with water from the bathtub. We don't care how sexy she is, we would've kicked her out on the spot.
Everybody Loves Raymond
46. Ray Barone's House
Series: Everybody Loves Raymond
Location: Long Island, NY
Raymond Barone may not be on that East Hampton, Long Island level of balling, but his L.I. crib hits all the suburban family notes that it should. And some that it shouldn't. The house's value is depreciated anytime his overbearing mother, crotchety father, and black sheep brother come by, which is quite often because they live right across the street. Talk about not straying far from the nest.
Moesha
45. The Mitchell House
Series: Moesha
Location: Los Angeles, CA
South Central is often identified and depicted as The Absolute Worst Part of L.A. To Live In, so while Mo's house was good yet nothing special, we still respect Moesha for setting the family's middle-class house smack in the middle of Leimert Park. For the most part no excessive gang-banging and black-on-black drama occurred, but Ray J did his best to act tough anyway.
Spongebob Squarepants
44. SpongeBob's Pineapple
Series: SpongeBob Squarepants
Location: Bikini Bottom
The decorative style of the houses in Bikin Bottom vary wildly, but in terms of picking the nicest home we're going to have to go with the pineapple, easy. Squidward's house is too imposing, Mr. Krab's anchor is too tacky, etc. The pineapple is quaint but nice, although we could never discern the Bikini Bottom market value system. Is Spongebob's place appropriately quaint, or is he living a little too large for a fry cook? Discuss.
Cheers
43. Cheers Bar & Restaurant
Series: Cheers
Location: Boston, MA
What's that you say? Cheers isn't a home? Tell that to the Boston mainstay's numerous barflies. Put it this way, we can recall countless scenes of Norm Peterson parked in his same bar stool. Ask us to recall Norm's actual house, and we'll need a minute or ten. Sam Malone's bar was an unofficial city landmark, and regulars like Norm and Cliff, along with workers Carla and Woody bonded together under one roof as one dysfunctional family even when Sam lost ownership for a couple seasons to Rebbecca Howe's company.
The Bob Newhart Show
42. Robert & Emily's Apartment
Series: The Bob Newhart Show
Location: Chicago, IL
As psychologist Robert Hartley, comedian Bob Newhart kept it classy in Chi-town with his hot, witty wife and equally wacky neighbors like Bill Daily. Their pad is pretty typical with all the middle-class 1970s trappings and style, but shouldn't a psychologist be balling a little harder?
Who's the Boss
41. Angela's House
Series: Who's the Boss?
Location: Fairfield, Conn
A butler is one thing, but it takes a lot of pride swallowing for a grown man to submit to being a housekeeper for a successful woman. One look at Angela Bower's swanky Connecticut house and we'd be all for progressive role swapping if she agreed to put us up like she did Tony and his daughter.
Saved by the Bell
40. Screech's House
Series: Saved by the Bell
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Sure Zach Morris, Bell's charming quick-witted protagonist, had a chill bedroom (we rarely ever see the rest of his house), but his sidekick Screech's crib takes the cake. He's the traditional super-nerd, so of course he has his own interactive robot as well as other geeky items in his bedroom. Downstairs the Powers household was just as nice, despite the unhealthy decorative obsession with Elvis. What's the first thing the guys do when Screech's parents go out of town? There was a party, later, but the first order of business was sliding around the crib singing along to "Barbara Anne."
Boy Meets World
39. The Matthews House
Series: Boy Meets World
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Before he left the nest for a crappy start-up with wifey Topanga, the homie Corey Matthews met the world from the comfort of a cushy suburban spot in the nicer parts of Philly. However, your viewpoint may vary on whether living right next door to your teacher and subsequent principal is a win or not. In theory we'd say no, but maybe that's because none of our principals were as cool as Mr. Feeny.
Living Single
38. Living Single Brownstone
Series: Living Single
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Most would be quick to identify Living Single, a series depicting the lives and interactions of six twenty-somethings, as the African-American answer to the often lily white Friends, but it actually premiered a full year earlier. Where the Huxtables owned their brownstone, Single featured two separate households in the same brownstone that often converged to swap male vs female insight and engage in misadventures together. Shared or not, a brownstone is a brownstone, and thus both apartments were quite spacious, and featured standard 90s urban decor.
Yes Dear
37. Greg's House
Series: Yes, Dear
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Opening to your home as an adult to the parents that raised you is one thing, but Yes, Dear's prissy Greg Warner took hospitality to new levels when he let his sister-in-law, her bum husband, and their kids move in to his middle-class L.A. crib. The CBS series mined the whole cramped-quarters shtick until the well was dry, so even though Greg was a big motion-picture exec, he and wife Kim never upgraded the digs lest they actually move into place that could suitably house two full families. We would've kicked them out by episode ten, b.
Futurama
36. Bender & Fry's Apartment
Series: Futurama
Location: New New York
Apartment-hunting is a nightmare, as any New New Yorker knows, so sometimes concessions have to be made to land that sick ass place you finally find. Bender almost makes the ultimate robotic sacrifice, cutting off his antenna (it's interfering with the satellite reception), lest he get evicted from he and Fry's nice new place. Thankfully Fry sets his priorities straight and they end up back in Bender's shitty five by five rectangle with the spacious "closet."
Will and Grace
Will & Grace's Apartment
Series: Will & Grace
Location: New York, NY
This duo's shared Upper West Side apartment was appropriately comfortable given both of their character traits. She's an interior decorator, he's a gay obsessive clean freak...those standards should have resulted in an even more impressive place to be honest. Their place is well furnished and very neat, yet a little too cramped. Then again, it's New York, everybody's place is cramped unless the setting is a magical, spacious Manhattan like on Friends.
Home Improvement
34. The Taylor House
Series: Home Improvement
Location: Detroit, MI
Of course the dude that runs a highly popular home improvement show would have a nice crib, or else he wouldn't be much of an authority would he? The Taylor's house was chill, but one kind of expects the structural design to be a bit more bold given Tim's profession. Maybe that's because he spends more time breaking things around the house than upgrading it. We'd also be remiss if we didn't post a shot of the dividing fence between the Taylor's and Wilson, seen just as often if not more than the interior.
Leave it to Beaver
33. The Cleaver House
Series: Leave It to Beaver
Location: Mayfield
Leave It to Beaver was more dedicated to weekly displays of suburbia-porn than ABC's new satirical hit Suburgatory, but where that show mocks, Beaver is 110% earnest. In 2012 that earnestness might be a tad sickening, but we like to call it classic. The original Cleaver crib (off-set business necessitated a mid-series setting switch) had stock suburban features right down to the picket fence, but for its time it was the quintessential American domicile.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
32. Hilda & Zelda's house
Series: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
Location: Westbridge, MA
If the exterior of Sabrina's aunts Hilda and Zelda's house seems a bit too on-the-nose for you, at least be glad that the show's setting wasn't actually Salem, Mass. The interior of the house was huge and the decor decidedly gothic, obviously, given the Spellman's lifestyle. The coolest aspect was the linen closet, which actually doubled as a portal to the many exotic locales of the Other Realm, so of course innocent civilian guests were always over-interested in that particular door.
Three's Company
31. Jack & Janet's apartment
Series: Three's Company
Location: Santa Monica, CA
The notion seems ridiculous today, but for some reason in the 1970's landlords actually gave a fuck about their tenant's lifestyle, and the old-fasioned Mr. Roper, and later Mr. Furley, were not down with lawless behavior such as single men and women living together under the same roof. In order to get in on girls Janet and Chrissy's totally groovy apartment, ladies' man Jack Tripper ironically pretends to be gay, the better to convince the Ropers and Furley that no sins are being committed.
The ruse seems extra, but the apartment grind is no joke. It's much easier to act flamboyant for a few minutes per day than try and find a place with a living room that huge for the same rent split. Plus for all the 'platonic' talk we know exactly what Jack was originally thinking when he first met Janet and Chrissy - and Cindy and Teri too. Three's company, indeed.
The Jeffersons
30. The Jefferson's Deluxe Apartment In The Sky
Series: The Jeffersons
Location: New York, NY
The celebratory theme song detailing the George and wife Louise's social and physical upward advancement is ingrained in every TV watcher's mind, but we'd be celebrating getting a dope Manhattan apartment far away from the aggy Archie Bunker too. Unlike say, the Huxtables, the Jeffersons had their wealth kind of handed to them but at least they spent their money right. Deluxe really was the appropriate adjective to describe their new East side digs. Good on you, George.
Full House
29. Tanner house
Series: Full House
Location: San Fransisco, CA
Three dudes and three girls is one full house indeed, but thankfully for the Tanners, Joey, and Jesse the San Fran house was spacious enough to accommodate, otherwise the theme might have went "everywhere you look there's somebody you're f*cking tired of seeing." Come to think of it we know Uncle Jesse felt that way at times regardless, and we can't blame him. Also, note to Tanners: repeated sightings of Kimmy Gibbler in and around the crib depreciates market value.
Clarissa Explains All
28. The Darling House
Series: Clarissa Explains It All
Location: Unspecified Ohio town
We're sure the Darling house was serviceable, but the real draw is Clarissa's bedroom, headquarters for all of her, well, explaining. Boy or girl you had to admit she had a pretty dope room, enviable on almost the same level of the football head on that other Nickelodeon show's room - spacious, with every cool poster and other wall ornament your 10 year-old self could think of.
Scrubs
27. Dr. Cox's Apartment
Series: Scrubs
Location: Unspecified
A guy like Dr. Cox doesn't let himself unwind anywhere else but home, so naturally that trait plus the salary associated with being Chief of Medicine means he has a nice bachelor pad. Unsurprisingly, the decorative draw is the Scotch bar.
The Jetsons
26. The Jetsons' Apartment
Series: The Jetsons
Location: Orbit City
We still have fifty years to live up to the levels of technological advancements predicted and depicted in The Jetsons, and while 2062 probably won't have flying cars the apartments may end up being similar to those in the Skypad complex. The cribs are ridiculously elevated, and feature the typical sleek appliances and design that is usually associated with "the future." We do have to give Hanna-Barbera props for predicting the floor-to-ceiling window wave though.
Seinfeld
25. Jerry Seinfeld's Apartment
Series: Seinfeld
Location: New York, NY
You could tell Jerry's comedy career in-show was popping because he managed to hold down the same roomy Upper East side spot during the series' entire run. Look hard and you'll notice some type of Superman related collectible or decor around the apartment in almost every of the hundreds of scenes that took place there while the gang sat around and did nothing. Our only real question is, how the hell did a sporadic worker like Kramer afford to live across the hall?
Merv Griffin
Jerry's Girlfriend's Apartment
Series: Seinfeld
Location: New York, NY
Over the course of Seinfeld Jerry, George, and Elaine became more and more amoral, while Kramer, and the plots became wackier with each passing year. The final season is largely hit or miss, but the "Merv Griffin" episode is definitely one of the brighter spots.
Jerry's girlfriend of the week is a woman with an insanely vast rare toy collection, passed down by her late father. Jerry gives two shits about her, but becomes obsessed with playing with the toys. Of course, she'd rather he didn't. It doesn't take him long before he resorts to drugging her so she passes out for hours at a time.
Soon, George is coming over to get in on the fun, and Elaine relents when news of a vintage Easy Bake Oven appeal to her inner child. Like we said, amoral, but it's still funny because of the sheer glee they take in her collection; her apartment might as well be FAO Schwartz. Oh and the decor is nice too, but who really cares...she's got the original G.I. Joe!
Fresh Prince Pool House
23. Will & Carlton's Pool House
Series: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Location: Bel-Air, CA
The Aunt Viv swap wasn't the only major change that happened at the midpoint of Fresh Prince's run. With Will & Carlton officially adults, the time came for them to find their own digs, a challenge complicated when Jazz typically got them kicked out of their off-campus spot.
So they relocated to the Banks house, but retained a shred of privacy and independence by kicking it in the pool house, because if wealthy California TV families have taught us anything, it's that they all have pool houses big enough to double as quaint homes. They had enough room to romance girls and Carlton dance their asses off, and could just walk across the backyard when they wanted some Geoffrey-cooked meals. Huge win.
Big Bang Theory
22. Sheldon & Leonard's apartment
Series: The Big Bang Theory
Location: Pasadena, CA
It's a standard in Hollywood that the homes of "geeks" must contain nerdy, collectible geek paraphernalia in every corner and crevice. Thus, Leonard and Sheldon's place is awesome. We wouldn't be caught dead with things like say, Leonard's Battlestar Galactica flight suit in plain sight in our own crib (props for fearlessness), but admittedly we want almost every collector's item the boys own.
Don't Trust the Bitch In Apt 23
21. Chloe's Apartment
Series: Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23
Location: New York, NY
We can't blame Chloe, the aforementioned "bitch," for running the con she did at the start of the series, on the unsuspecting, innocent roommates that cross her path. She lures them in, charges them extra, then does everything she can to scare them away days later. So she doesn't work (regularly at least), she gets help paying for her awesome apartment, and then doesn't have to deal with all of the typical roommate strife for the rest of the month? Respect game.
Dunphy House
20. The Dunphy House
Series: Modern Family
Location: Los Angeles, CA
The Dunphy's may not have the dopest crib in the extended Pritchett clan, but America's latest favorite goofball dad Phil Dunphy put his realtor skills to use and copped a pretty above average house for his fam, big enough to serve as a killer haunted house on Halloween. Just watch that middle step on the staircase.
Family Guy
19. Cherrywood Manor
Series: Family Guy
Location: Newport, Rhode Island
The Quahog spot is nice and all, but the Griffins were really balling out of control for that half hour they inherited Cherrywood Manor, the estate that previously belonged to Lois's aunt. The welcoming musical number remains one of the long-running series' best scenes, and while Peter ended up going too far with the blue blood lifestyle, fun times were had up until that point. Chief among them, Stewie's pure glee at having servants to entertain him with death matches.
The New Girl
18. Jess and Co.'s Apartment
Series: The New Girl
Location: Los Angeles, California
New Girl is essentially a modern, reverse Three's Company, except for the apartment is much more worth the hassle, and it's 2012 so no one cares about unmarried males and female living under one roof. Did we mention how ridiculously awesome the apartment is? Even on a four-way rent split, it still makes no sense how a teacher and three dudes can afford to live here, especially when only one has a real job. We know it definitely doesn't add up to only one week of everyone's salary, but if we were in their shoes we'd consider dropping that rule too.
Happy Endings
17. Brad & Jane's Apartment
Series: Happy Endings
Location: Chicago, IL
Most of the Happy Endings gang are still bumbling through life, some worse off than others, but go-getter couple Brad and Jane have their shit pretty together (save their annual Spring Smackdown). Not only do they have the clutch, two story apartment in the city complete with balcony (Brad stands out and screams "Good morning Chicago" every day), they pretty much run the building. Here's hoping Brad's recent unemployment doesn't force them to move next season.
Californication
16. Hank Moody's Apartment
Series: Californication
Location: Los Angeles, CA
All of Hank's friends have lavish, impossibly beautiful L.A. mansions and the like, but Hank's place has character. Sure, nice middle-class apartments are almost never depicted on television - it's usually palace or craphole. But the real reason Hank's apartment is the shit is because of all the sexy California hotties that he's hosted there, not to mention the lewd dinner parties, and other debauched acts - the time Karen and Marcy caught Hank and Charlie with the very "excitable" woman from the gym; Charlie's devil three-way with Rick Springfield. It wasn't seen at all in the show's latest season; it'd be a shame if Hank lost it in his move to NYC.
The Nanny
15. The Sheffield Townhouse
Series: The Nanny
Location: New York, NY
It took five seasons for Nanny Fine and Mr. Max Sheffield to consummate their lust for each other, but Fran was winning from episode one when she inexplicably ended up as the Sheffield kids' live-in nanny, abruptly social-leaping from Queens to the Upper East Side in a flash. The townhouse was exactly what you'd expect from a successful Manhattan playwright: lots of marble, grand staircase, upstairs office and of course the snarky wise-cracking butler. We can't even blame Fran's mother for finding excuses to show up in seemingly every episode.
The Simpsons
14. Burns Manor
Series: The Simpsons
Location: Springfield Heights
The richest guy in Springfield, to the tune of $996 million to be exact, unsurprisingly owns a home that is quite worthy of being referred to as "manor." It boasts all kinds of insane features such as the "largest TV in the free world," a laboratory and botanical garden, and rare artifacts like Excalibur and the heads of long extinct animals like the T-Rex. All that may sound enticing, but no one dares to run up on Burns Manor, lest they meet one of his ten vicious "Hounds" or worse, robot Richard Simmons.
The League
13. Andre's Apartment
Series: The League
Location: Chicago, IL
The League's most shit on member is also the wealthiest, thanks to a successful but often-mocked career in plastic surgery. It may be jealousy or poor Andre is just doomed to forever be the runt of the group no matter how much money he earns, but the gang just can't stop punking him. We felt his pain when they enlisted the degenerate Rafi and Dirty Randy (Seth Rogen) to defile Andre's dope, two-story, super-modern sleek apartment by shooting a porno there...starring an Andre look-alike no less. SMH.
Friends
12. Ugly Naked Guy's Apartment
Series: Friends
Location: New York, NY
All of the members of the Central Perk gang have apartments that are well beyond their real-life means (except maybe Joey), but Ross took it to another level when he came up on the Ugly Naked Guy across the street's spacious place in season five. Sure, Ross had to meet him naked to get his blessing, but is that really a high price to pay all things considered? On a professor's salary no less!
30 Rock
11. Jack Donaghy's Apartment
Series: 30 Rock
Location: New York, NY
We'd expect nothing less than a baller spot from gazillionaire Jack Donaghy. In the early days of the series his lush apartment made for quite the bachelor pad, perfect for unleashing moves like the legendary "Ottoman." Now he shares it wife Avery and their baby. No need to move, he already had enough space for a family, or two.
Frasier
10. Frasier's Apartment
Series: Frasier
Location: Seattle, Washington
Dr. Crane rebounded from his divorce on Cheers in a big way, moving back home and to a deluxe apartment in the Seattle sky. Whereas the blue-collars back in Boston grounded him a little, he fully embraced his upper-crust tastes on his own series and his intense dedication to the finest of the finer things extended to his apartment decor.
While he and equally super-tasteful brother Niles reveled in excess, their decidedly blue-collar father Frank was always quick to bring them down to Earth with a snarky put down. But you know he and Eddie the dog enjoyed the digs on the low.
Hey Arnold!
9. Arnold's bedroom
Series: Hey Arnold!
Location: Hillwood
Pure fact: back in the day every avid Nickelodeon watcher wished they had Arnold's bedroom. Hell, we still want it today. Among the amenities: that dope ass skylight with the dimmer, jazz club-esque lights, the couch that rotated out of the wall and the remote that controlled all of that and more. Did we mention it's only accessible by crawl space ladder?
This is all without mentioning that he lived in a pretty interesting building overall. As owned by his grandparents, there various tenants were weird yet cool, and he also had the coolest pet ever in Abner the pig.
Cougar Town
8. Jules' House
Series: Cougar Town
Location: Gulf Haven, Fla
ABC's unfortunately named, but still great, sitcom isn't actually running rampant with cougars in the fictional town of Gulf Haven. It does however, feature the quintessential group space where the ensemble cast spend most of their time doing absolutely nothing at (usually the lead's place). Factor in that matronly Jules is herself a realtor, and you know her house has to be sick.
Forget midday chilling, we're pretty sure the dubbed "Cul-de-Sac Crew" is in her kitchen eating breakfast before she even comes down. If that weren't enough, in season one she reupholstered her bathroom to the point of rivaling most one bedroom apartments.
Curb Your Enthusiasm
7. Renny Harlin's Condo
Series: Curb Your Enthusiasm
Location: New York, NY
Larry David's got enough Seinfeld money to last a lifetime or two, and while he's not the showiest rich dude (Prius, endless Banana Republic sweaters), his affluence was always well-reflected in his houses.
He and wife Cheryl moved countless times over the course of the series, and those homes were dope, but the reigning fly crib of the show is Larry's Social Assassin headquarters for the half-season he spends in NYC, as fictitiously provided by Renny Harlin. In the immortal words of Leon, just look at that "plush motherfucker!"
The Cosby Show
6. The Huxtable House
Series: The Cosby Show
Location: Brooklyn, NY
If the Cleavers represent the perfect, idyllic suburban nuclear TV family with the typical suburban house, then the Huxtable's are the African-American version with a more modernized twist. Screw the suburbs, Cliff's hustle as an OBGYN coupled with super-mom Clair's lawyer money resulted in the ultimate New York City cop: their own brownstone.
That's enough space for their four children (Sondra already left the nest when the series started) to co-exist without wanting to kill each other, sometimes, and for Cliff to host his practice downstairs in addition to the various extended family they took in over the series, like Raven Symone's Olivia. The Huxtable household was not only a hub for their family and close friends (we see you Cockroach), but it truly felt like home to the audience as well.
Louie
5. $17 Million Townhouse
Series: Louie
Location: New York, NY
Poor Louie. As if apartment hunting isn't a nightmare already, viewing places that are obviously out of your tax bracket is just masochistic. After seeing this place Louie goes for the complete opposite and visits a townhouse on a whim, and the experience is pretty magical. If we were walking through it we'd probably be overcome so as to start dancing with the realtor as well...right up until the moment she dropped the price tag like a soul crushing brick. As Louie so hilariously, pathetically puts it later to his accountant, it's kind of cheap when you consider everything it offers. Still not gonna happen, bud.
Fresh Prince
4. Banks Manor
Series: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Location: Bel-Air, CA
Enough room to at one point house Uncle Phil, Aunt Viv, their three kids plus Will and Geoffrey? Check. Pool house? check, with a tennis court too. Hell, if we were Jazz we would happily submit ourselves to getting routinely thrown out on our asses just to kick it there for a few hours a day too. If there was ever any question about the Banks family having one of the dopest houses in sitcom history, just consider how many other cribs had Bell Biv Devoe shoot a music video there. Exactly.
Two and a Half Men
3. Charlie Harper's Beach House
Series: Two and a Half Men
Location: Malibu, CA
So what if Ashton Kutcher is currently posted up in it? This is and will always be Charlie Harper's crib, the place he graciously opened up to his nebbish brother and nephew, and where bad chicks the likes of Judy Greer, Jenny McCarthy, Emmanuelle Vaugier, and many, many more were slain.
The two-story beach front house made for the perfect bachelor pad, even with the addition of Alan and Jake, but respect must be paid to Berta the housekeeper for holding them down.
Pritchett House
2. Jay Pritchett's House
Series: Modern Family
Location: Los Angeles, CA
People have a hard time believing the voluptuous Gloria didn't marry elderly Jay just for his money, and while we do, it's hard to blame the gossipers when there are so many indicators that Jay's bread is long like train smoke, especially his house. He recently revealed that in his formative years no one ever thought he'd make something of himself, so extra props.
The interior of the house is modern (heh) and full of rich, vibrant colors but this may be a case where the exterior is doper. Seriously, we're thinking of getting into the construction business if it yields these kinds of dividends.
Entourage
1. Every Vincent Chase House in Entourage
Series: Entourage
Location: Various spots in Los Angeles, CA
On the real, Entourage could take up about a fifth of this list. Vince and the boys from Queens were already ballin when we met them and their bread only got longer with each passing season. A brief history, as correlated in the pictures:
S1 - Typical Hollywood spanish-style house.
S2 - Vince bets everything on Aquaman just so he can move into a mansion previously owned by Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp.
S2 - Gang relocates to Jessica Alba's Malibu crib while Vince films Aquaman.
S4 - The gang returns from filming Medellin, briefly crowding into Drama's Beverly Hills condo before leasing a new place up in the Hills.
S6 - After experiencing a temporary fall from grace and bank in season five, Vince repurchases the season one crib. Eric finally moves out.
S7 - The gang upgrades to a Tuscan villa, which remains through season eight until Turtle burns it down while smoking at Vince's welcome home party.
