Paris native, Jean Faucheur, is one of the pioneers of urban art in France. A contemporary of Keith Haring, Futura 2000 and Kenny Sharf, Faucheur worked in a variety of mediums including, sculpture, and photography in addition to public art. Faucher cuts out, weaves, and rearranges his images to create unique pieces of art. His deconstruction and manipulation of photographs employ some of the same principles of Faucher's other artwork - mainly the manipulation of materials as you would in sculpture. [JeanFaucher]
