The history of fine British tailoring sits amongst the many shops in Saville Row, and the idea of Abercrombie & Fitch expanding shop on the Row does not sit well with some. The retailer has already encroached on this sartorial Mecca with a shop on Burlington Gardens, but A&F plans to expand by opening up a children’s store. Much of the complaint stems from the issue that the big-store retailer will be watering down the class and luxury of the historic area, from its cheap clothes to skin revealing ads.
