Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested early Monday morning for misdemeanor DUI, TMZ reports.

Police found the rookie cornerback sleeping inside a parked vehicle in Las Vegas. Hobbs was booked for misdemeanor DUI after failing a field sobriety test.

Per Yahoo Sports, the Raiders released a statement Monday afternoon that read, “The Raiders are aware of the incident involving Nate Hobbs. The organization has been in communication with local law enforcement and is in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Hobbs’ attorneys told TMZ, “The facts and circumstances related by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to the news media leave serious concerns that this does not qualify as a DUI under Nevada law.”

Hobbs, a fifth-round draft pick, has appeared in 15 games this season, starting in nine. He ranks fourth on the team with 67 tackles this year, to go along with one interception and one forced fumble. His status is now in question for Las Vegas’ huge Week 18 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The arrest arrives just two months after Henry Ruggs III crashed his Corvette into a woman’s SUV in November, killing her and her dog. Ruggs is facing felony charges of DUI and reckless driving, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possessing a gun under the influence of alcohol.
