The Patriots WR situation continues be in flux, as today they announced that they've placed Josh Gordon on IR. Many assumed this would end Gordon's season with a knee injury, but soon after the news broke, Ian Rapoport announced that once Gordon heals from the bone bruise in his knee, the Patriots will waive him from IR. This means in a few weeks Gordon will be healthy and free to sign with any team he chooses.

The Patriots seemed to know they were moving on from Gordon once they completed a deal for Mohamed Sanu from the Atlanta Falcons. From Gordon's side, he called the news "interesting" on Instagram, but didn't share any further details. It's unclear exactly why the Pats decided to move on from Gordon, but it looks highly likely he'll be signed by a team once he gets healthy. With that in mind, the Complex Sports squad picked out five NFL teams that should sign Gordon once he becomes a free agent later this season.

Green Bay Packers

This might be the best Packers team in years, and what's crazy is that they can still get better. Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level, but has dealt with a depleted WR room that could for sure use a boost from Josh Gordon once he's healthy. A combination of Gordon and Davante Adams would be one hell of a 1-2 punch in the NFC North.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens appear to be the real deal and Lamar Jackson is playing at an insane level. While their offense is built off of the running game, adding a force like Josh Gordon in the WR room could go along way to boost the Ravens' playoff chances going forward.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles need some help. They've stumbled of late and have been banged up at WR for most of the season. It's unclear when DeSean Jackson will be back from injury, which makes the possibilty of adding Josh Gordon a legit idea. This Eagles team is as talented as any team in the NFL, but could definitely use a spark on offense from someone like Gordon.

Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson is playing like an MVP this season, but the Seattle Seahawks would be the first to tell you they could stand to improve at WR. Yes, they have stud rookie WR DJ Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, but the more firepower the better, and an addition of Gordon could go a long way towards Seattle's Super Bowl goals.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints always feel like a sneaky team when it comes to these sort of things. They're always looking to improve and are already one of the best teams in the NFL. With Drew Brees about to come back, why not add a new WR to the fold and take things to the next level? Josh Gordon and Michael Thomas would instantly be one of the most fun WR duos in the NFL.
