AJ Green has yet to play a game for the Cincinnati Bengals this season, but his name is currently in the headlines because there are plenty of trade rumors swirling around. On the possibility of being traded before the October 29 deadline, Green said, "I'm prepared for anything." That answer alone makes you think the Bengals will move on from Green, who is one of the best players in the team's history.
While Green has been banged up this season, there is no question that he could help a contending team get over the top. Or he could help the Patriots continue their dominance. Sometimes it plays out like that. With the trade rumors swirling, the Complex Sports squad picked out five NFL teams that should immediately look into trading for Green.
New England Patriots
Where else could we start? The Patriots are, once again, a very good team but there's no question that they could use some help at WR. They tried to fill this need with the signing of Antonio Brown, but we all saw how that played out. AJ Green would be a perfect fit with the Patriots and give them the explosivness they're currently lacking on the outside.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have been linked in just about every trade rumor in the NFL this season, so why wouldn't they get brought up with AJ Green? WR is a clear need for the Eagles right now and AJ Green would immediately improve a group that has been banged up to start this season.
Green Bay Packers
This might be the best overall team that the Packers have ever put around Aaron Rodgers, and even still, they could stand to improve at WR. With Davante Adams still nursing an injury, it would make total sense that the Packers sniff around for an AJ Green trade. The Packers are already contenders in the NFC, but this trade would put them on another level than their competition.
Kansas City Chiefs
I know it's still early, but the Chiefs look a bit vulnerable right now. The injury bug is hitting them sort of hard, especially at WR, which means they would make sense as an AJ Green destination. Also, if the Chiefs were able to pull off the move, that means the Patriots wouldn't be able to do so. That alone might be worth it for the Chiefs.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are the biggest surprise in the NFL right now, so why wouldn't they go all in? They already have an elite defense and running game, but adding a star WR like Green would really put them over the top. The NFC West might be the best division in football and the 49ers will need all the fire power they can get to stay ahead in the race.
