Just last week we showed off 25 examples of house furniture that has been created from or inspired by cars. One of those items was a bed, which has been created from an actual front end of an old-school. This got us thinking about how, despite having car models and car posters all around our rooms, we never were fortunate enough to lie our head to rest on pillow encased by an automobile. In rememberance of a dream never realized, we wanted to take a look at some of the craziest bed we could find. What we found was a dump truck, a Safari ride, a Bugatti, and a frame with real tires on it. Scope out some ideas for your future child with these 15 Hilarious Car Beds.

The Monte Hummer

At first, the body of this car made us think of an older Monte Carlo. Then, we looked closer and realized that it sort of looks like a Hummer, too? Either way, any car bed is better than no car bed, even if it is having an identity crisis.

F40

Now, your kids can dream about Ferraris while sleeping in one of the most iconic Ferraris ever made. We'll be waiting for the LaFerrari bed to pop up soon.

The Dump

Aside from the fact that you're basically considering yourself a heap of trash, this is actually a kind of cool idea. Instead of a bunk bed, you're sleeping on a platform of a gigantic dump truck. Now, they just need to add a wrecking ball attachment for when the siblings try to get into the room.

The Safari

Every kid has a phase during which they wish they were prowling around in Africa on a safari. At least, we imagine they do. Is that weird? It can't be weird, safaris are awesome. We'd probably scrap the zebra paint scheme for a Jurrasic Park look, though. Dinosaurs are even better than safaris.

Big Boy Bugatti

If you're a mom, and you're buying a Bugatti race car bed for your kid, just be warned: The kid might come into your room crying in the middle of the night, because your husband just kicked him out of his own room.

Framed Rally Racer

This is the ideal car for making the switch from a crib to a big boy bed. All those restless kids that are constantly falling out of the bed, when you bring them to hotels will be locked in by the two metal bars on the side, preventing them from bashing their heads on the nightstand or the floor. And the best part is they'll just see it as being part of an awesome rally car. Win. Win.

The Compromise

If you're an adult, and you have a significant other in your life, there's a pretty high percentage that he or she isn't going to want to share a race car bed. But you're also not going to want a frilly lace bed with gigantic posts and a sheer screen covering it. So, what do you do? Compromise. That'll lead to a bed with big posts and sheer covers with some tires drilled on the sides.

The Sleep Car

With an original name like the "Sleep Car," a circuit like "Night Racing," and Angry Bird sheets, how could we exclude this?

Ronald McDonald's Ride

If this isn't the worst idea we've ever seen, then we don't know what is. You might as well grind up some chicken nuggest and fries and put that into the baby's formula bottle. Although, if the car is one of those rides that's fueled by grease, then we could dig it.

A Modern Take

This is actually a much, much better compromise than the one we showed you before. You know, because it doesn't have literal wheels on it. A modern interpretation of a "car bed," this elegant arrangment has functional head rests for reading, plenty of space for both the driver and the passenger, and a clean color scheme. We'd use this bed right now.

Batmobile

The ultimate in DYI car beds, a Batmobile is perfect for pretty much any age. If you have this in your house, though, you best have the full Batman armor in your closet and a multi-functional touch screen supercomputer as your wall.

Chevy Corvette

This is legit as a car bed gets without actually taking a Sawzall to the roof of your car and dropping a matress inside. For just $359.98, you can own that classic Corvette you've always wanted. It's even got real working lights, and you can pair it with a dresser and storage chest.

Herbie's Dreamland

This is a Volkswagen Beetle, Herbie, and maybe Lindsay Lohan fanatic's dream room. It's one thing to get a car bed, but the right way to do it is by completing a fully themed room. We're not sure we'd like to be sleeping in a gas station, though.

The Old School

Not all car beds have to be made out of wood and plastic. This person chose to take his ride to the chop shop (maybe a good idea for some of these eBay cars?), lop off the front end and build it into the footboard. Just make sure you take off the hood ornament, especially if you're planning on makin' it nasty in there.

Big Wheels

If you look closely, this isn't actually even a real bed. It's just an ikea frame with the tires next to it (you can see the carpet through the wheels). Fortunately, our favorite bed of the bunch actually seems like it'd be pretty easy to build. If you just took one of those sturdier Ikea frames, or just purchased some planks at the hardware store, threaded two poles through, and bolted the poles onto the wheels with two flatter, circular pieces of wood, you'd be good to go. You might need a boot, though, to make sure this thing isn't rolling around the room when you're, well, yeah.
