Joyous News! Toyota is Considering an FR-S Sedan or Shooting Brake

Now wives can be convinced that the FR-S is a good idea.

Great news about rear-driven cars seems to often come from Australia, where V8s and long drive-shafts still rule supreme, and today is no exception. CarSales.com.au reported that Toyota is looking at expanding the Scion FR-S (Sold there as the Toyota GT-86) into a small line up, and that the next car is going to be either a sedan, a shooting brake, or a four door wagon that the company would insist is a shooting brake.

In addition to the 200 horse, Subaru-made 2.0L boxer engine that's available now in the FR-S, you can expect a Hybrid R version (who called it?) that would have a powertrain that is in some way related to the Yaris Hybrid R concept. Excuse us, we need to go have some alone time with that idea now.
